The Danger Of Selecting The Wrong Path To A Fit Lean Body

Our senses are bombarded every day with advertising from the multi-billion dollar weight loss and fitness industry. There are times that it can become mind numbing to say the least. Every single magazine in the checkout stand has something on the cover about weight loss. Every where we turn 24/7 whether it is radio, TV, internet, or the print media, we are subjected to the “lose weight now” drumbeat.

One can truly reach sensory overload when it comes to determining which is the best path to take to develop that fit lean body you desire, or that body you sported a few years back. Do you join a family gym? Do you start a running or jogging program? Do you try work out at home? Or do you decide that you don’t have the time to devote to increased physical activity so you look toward diet, and or diet supplements? Perhaps you rationalize that this is the easy way. Since you don’t have time to go to the gym or work out, you will just find a diet pill or supplement that boosts your metabolism, while reducing your appetite and this is the path you will take to that fit lean body you desire.

It goes without saying that selecting the “wrong” path to that fit and lean body you desire, is going to have negative consequences for you. Nothing earth shattering about that statement. But what is the wrong path. Let’s talk about this for a moment beginning with the diet supplement industry. I read a report just this week that the FDA has recently identified over 40 new diet supplements that they consider completely fraudulent. These 40 plus diet supplements were added to a list of 30 some diet supplements that the FDA had already identified as being completely fraudulent. These are supplements that are currently being sold to the general public! Oh…….So in other words if you or I decide to place our confidence for losing weight in a diet supplement,there is a good chance is could be one of the 70 some diet supplements the FDA has determined are a complete fraud.

So what are the dangers of selecting the diet supplement path to weight loss. The first danger is that you could be throwing all of your money away, followed by the fact that it may not result in any weight loss at all. The real danger however is this experience may serve as evidence to you that losing weight is just too difficult, so why bother. Someone investing their money and hopes in one of the many worthless diet pills being peddled is not only setting themselves up for disappointment, but they are making it mentally tougher on themselves the next time the decide to make a commitment to get in shape and lose weight.

What if you take the path of joining a gym. You sign up, go through the orientation, start paying your monthly dues and get in you first few workouts. Now some people without question are motivated by just being in the gym around a lot of other people. But what if you find out that the gym environment just isn’t for you? What if you discover you misjudged the amount of time you could devote to getting into your car and driving to the gym? You start to miss workouts, you are then hit with very negative feelings as you have not only failed in your goals but you have spent time and money without any results.

How about that running or jogging program? No false advertising about Best Testosterone Booster here to worry about. You strap on your running shoes, do some stretching and down the road you go. I have done my share of running and it is can be very enjoyable to a degree. I personally find that running is the exercise that takes the greatest amount of motivation for me. Now just because it takes a lot of motivation is no reason to not pursue it, agreed. But then again it requires time away from your home. For the mother or father saying home with small children, it may be very difficult to begin and stick to a running program. If we start a running program, but fail to stick to it, have we sent our brain another negative message that it is just impossible to lose weight and get into shape.

Is there an answer to all of this. Well for me there certainly was. I discovered that without a doubt a simple habit of doing a handful of exercises off and on, throughout my day, for a few minutes at a time, while at home……was the simplest workout habit to create and to stick to. Now we have all been to someone’s home who had the weight machine shoved off in the corner or on the back patio, gathering dust. So running out and buying an expensive home gym is not the answer either. The key is creating the HABIT. It eventually becomes a habit that you love, and couldn’t stop even if you wanted to. Now my friend your weight loss and fitness destiny is set.
