It is also not advisable to wash the pan when it is still hot. You should allow it to completely cool down before washing it. Soaking your hot pan in cold water may cause your cookware to have irreparable warping. You should also use non-abrasive cleaners and sponges inly. Harsh cleaning solutions and scrubbers such as bleach can scratch your steel and might damage its finish.
